Li Ruoheng, an artist participating in the 2026 Summer/Autumn Exhibition at the World Art Center, uses the Wangchun Pavilion landscape architecture of the Tang Paradise as her creative motif. Her original work, "Moonlight over the Tang Dynasty," employs materials such as gold leaf, silver leaf, and mother-of-pearl powder to integrate architecture and lighting into a galaxy, allowing the night view of the Tang Dynasty to be rekindled in a contemporary perspective.
Cities and people are recurring themes in Li Ruoheng's work. Her 2024 series of new works, including "Colombia-Medellín," "USA-Los Angeles," "Mexico-Mexico City Bullring," "France-Paris," and "Italy-Milan Cathedral," are urban imagery composed of pearls inlaid on black velvet. These works bear the imprint of the artist's travels, perceptions, reflections, transformations, and allegories, forming the context of her "City Radiance" series.
